Our new (2 years ago) main sail has slugs our older
one did not. I would choose slugs any day! Getting
the main up and down is much easier. I don't think
performance is much of an issue but I guess if I was
racing every little bit helps (but I probably would
be sailing something other than a Potter!).

The S2 could use a depth sounder of some sort. I am
considering either a straight depth sounder or a fishfinder.
Any net wisdom? I will need to use a thru-hull transducer
since the transom mount won't work on the S2. I know next
to nuthin bout these things! Any help or pointers to info
would be appreciated. The S2 is a shoal draft keel so
I can't use the center board as a depth finder like we do
on the P15 :-).
