Dry Storage

Has anyone installed a dry storage compartment? I am looking to maybe cut a
4-5 inch hole somewhere in the cockpit for wallet and keys. I have looked
in the West Marine cataloge and did not find anything. I noticed the canoes
have this for when they tip over. I usually toss this kind of stuff on the
bunks and would like to clear up the clutter.
