Thought some of you fellow Potters may be interested in a few of my
favorite add-ons! PLEASE ADD YOUR OWN TO THIS LIST!

1.Hammock stretched tight from bow pulpit to mast with single steering
line to portside tiller (bungee on s/brd.). Put cockpit cushions in
hammock BEFORE climbing in or results will be wet and salty! Add bow
awning, Mozart and suds.
2. Rail mounted Solar Panel to top off matched on-board dry cell (but
need to keep aimed to sun to be efficient).
3. Vertical mounted bildge pump in transom with removable handle, for
bailing while steering if necessary. Electric bildge also!
4. High stern pulpit to hold man overboard pole, VHF antenna and hold
mast when trailering. Also helps in mast raising (elevates mast
slightly when thru-bolt is in).
5. Tiny bungees to hold shrouds away from mast to stop NOISE while
snoozing.
6. Nylon cockpit awning with 1/4 inch fiberglass rods inserted and
snaps on corners to allow mounting in multiple positions to keep shade
over cockpit or bow at anchor.
7. Orange nylon square cloth (4'X4') with blue square center for
SOS/on-board emergency notification to aircraft.
8. Plastic sea anchor (mfg in Australia-sold at boat shows) with 75"
of 5/16" line.
9. TWO Solar Showers (large size) for long cockpit showers each day in
cockpit, also short lines for securing bags to each side of cabin roof.
10. Avon Redcrest 8' inflatable and 12 V. blower/pump, collapsing oars,
75' ofline and salmon weight for anchor, all compressed in stuff bag.
11. Two 12 volt portable flouerscent lamps/with spot/flasher
combination with batteries and cords for boat battery hook up.
12. Talking hourly clock alarm (Radio Shack
now $15.00) for poking head out of f/ward hatch and checking boat swing
at anchor at night.
13. One 12 volt powerful spot lamp on long cord next to bunk (for
checking boat swing at anchor at night)
14. Flashlight with red celephane in lens for night chart reading.
15. Trim tab, wind-driven steering vane built from odds and ends
and/or 12 volt autopilot.
16. Companion way hammock with tiller extension to sit in while
underway in wet conditions which keeps body from neck down in the cabin
with feet on cabinet corners.
17. Main sheet holder make of nylon mesh in bag form, mounted high on
transom (easy to make your own).
18. Dive suit pants, top, feet and head piece for for use if REAL
rough, wet and cold on a long passage to stop hypothermia.
19. Lotsa stuff bags for items above and clearly marked and placed in
one quarterberth.
20. Several flare guns and lotsa cartridges
(save your expired ones).
21. VHF, GPS and handheld electronic compass.
