I've talked with a few folks that have expressed interest in a trip to =
Ocracoke Island. Thought I'd put out a feeler to see if anyone was =
interested in this trip in the late summer.

***Note: This is not a trip for the faint of heart! By my estimate, it =
is a 30 mile trip, across open water. The rewards at the other end are =
plenty. I would plan on it being at least a 4 day trip (one there, one =
back, two to explore in between!). There's Ocracoke to explore, plus =
the ghost town of Portsmouth. It should challenge all sorts of =
pottering skills, and make for quite an adventure.

I'll throw out Labor Day weekend (say, Sept 3-6) as a starting point, =
weather permitting. Any takers?
