I guess if the boat is on the trailer and the trailer is on the road, the
boat is on a voyage.
This Father's Day morning Pilgrim rests outside a Motel 6 in Providence, R.I.
Soon she will make her way to Newport and across the bridge to Mystic
Seaport. A week ago today she was in the water at Rockland, Me. She sailed
out past light house into Penobscot Bay before resting on her trailer for a
week while I went aboard the Ketch Angelique. The Angelique is a 95 foot
windjammer out of Camden. Indeed, we were informed that our destination was
Camden. However, to get there we spent 5 days working our way to Bar Harbor,
Me. Two great day of sailing, two so-so, and one day where the iron lung
ruled. No rain but fantastic clouds.
Itinerary:
I'll be at Mystic Seaport a week. I might back up to Cape Cod after that for
a try for Martha's Vinyard from Woods Hole. Default would be to the
Chesapeak, The Wooden Boat show will be in St. Michaels. And there are
some Potters in the area...
