Geoff,
I disagree with your statement that "A short shaft
Honda will not tilt up with the stock motor mount".
I think this may have come up before but I am able
to tilt my Honda 2 hp if (and only if) I rotate the
engine 90 degrees. When it is tilted up the tiller
would be up. I suspect that all P15 factory
mounts are not created equal! Since I did not purchase
my P15 new it is possible that the mount was modified
but it sure doesn't look that way. I would love to
see our boats side by side to compare but I don't
think we will be making it to Lake Tahoe, it's a
bit of a long drive from here.

I think it would be helpful if all posts included
the type of Potter (15 vs 19) and hull number of the
boat that the poster owns.
