I'm with you, Harry...my 15 is really really easy all the way around. And
a bigger ballasted boat would lend itself more easily to going out with a
few folks, dogs, beers, etc. I feel like I am like Larry Brown, though, in
the sense that most of the time I go out alone or with one other person so
the 15 is perfect. It's nice in a way. Solo sailing affords me such nice
solitude! And with one other it's a rather intimate experience, a chance
to slow down and really chat or just be peaceful with a good friend or my
wife.

Also, as I have written previously, the 15 can be rowed and with the mast
down and cb up I have had wonderful times just mucking around in the
gunkholes, shallow marshy areas, with the birds and frogs and others,
something that you really couldn't do with the 19.

I understand and totally honor the notion of the bigger ballasted boat.
I'm sure for some it is better. But for me the 15 is perfect.

I find myself going out in heavy winds plenty and others at the marina
will say, " You went out in THAT? I wouldn't even go out in MY boat"
(usually Catalina 22 or 25's). When I invite them to go out with me they
smile or laugh, nervously....I guess they don't know about how stable the
15 is...we are lucky folks with our 15 foot wonder yachts!
