Thanks for the info. My previous data on composting toilets was from an
outfit in California (don't recall the name) and Lehman's non electric
catalog (330-857-5757). Lehmans is a good one. Both places specialized in
large house toilets and consumed a bit of electricity. Your reference
included a marine toilet that looks interesting. Some very minor drawbacks
of the unit are: it uses a small heater, it has to vent, you have to add
peat moss to it and the size is slightly large for the Potter. It is
definitely a go for a larger boat. My questions are two: a. If you eat a
high fiber diet do you still have to add peatmoss? b. Since the unit is
larger than a porta potty, I must carefully consider where to install it.
Perhaps the poop deck?
