I've made the change from the "quarter-turn" plastic hanks to conventional
ones on my P-15 for exactly the reasons you mentioned. However, my jib did
not have grommets for bronze hanks so I bought the Ronstan ones that Sailrite
sell. The have a plastic "hook" and a brass plunger.They go on (with screws)
like the old ones but function identically to the bronze ones. I'm very
happy with them.
