While beating to windward, put the tiller over to leeward to come about.
Leave the jib sheeted, so that it will be backwinded on the new tack.
As soon as the bow comes through the eye of the wind and the backwinded
jib fills, swing the tiller hard over to the new leeward side of the boat
and lash it there.

You will be drifting with the wind and current, but the boat should just
sit comfortably. We heave-to to reef and sometimes to eat lunch.

I notice from your .sig that you have a Montgomery 15. Different boats
have different needs - you may need to trim your mainsail to balance things
when hove-to, or there may be a certain rudder position you need to have.
Try it out and discover what works best for your boat.
