Hi Lionel,

I investigated closed cell foam for cabin cushions and
decided it was prohibitively expensive. It would have been
about twice as expensive as IM's cushions to have them made.
And it's difficult to find closed cell foam that's soft
enough to sleep on. I find the foam in the cushions from IM
is too hard for me (but I'm pretty skinny and don't have a
lot of padding over my bones). I plan on eventually
replacing them with more comfortable foam from my local
discount foam center.

Cockpit cushions of closed cell foam are pricey, but worth
it. They're comfy and they don't soak up water. We haven't
bought any yet, but it's on my list of things.

Best,
Judy B
