The HMS 18's were built from 1971 to 1975, and only 71 were ever built.
The company was sold to Joe Edwards and he brought out the molds and started
building Potter 19's. in 1981. Joe made the outboard brackets standard on
both models, so the P.14 became a 15 and the HMS 18 became a potter19. On the
early boats the keel housings were made on a separate mold, and then fitted
into the hull. On the new boats the keel trunk is part of the hull. Possibly
the tighter fit on the newer keels makes the water hydraulic upwards. I think
I.M.is building a fine boat, if anything ever happened to my oldies I would
