Hi,

1. Is there anything wrong with the IM boom vang for the P15?
It lists for $60 on their web page. I've seen a number of
homemade boom vang designs from various potter web pages that use
parts that come to a total in excess of $60, sometimes considerably
more so.

2. Has anyone moved the main block aft, and _not_ liked it?
(I know that many of you like it very much.) For some it might
be simpler to have all blocks forward, in the direction you are
facing. Call me dangerous, but I always cleat my sheets,
even in strong gusty winds, I just maintain awareness so I can
uncleat quickly if necessary. I also tend to stand up when
beating (windsurfing habit probably, or maybe because I'm
short and don't have good forward visibility). So, perhaps
I'm a forward block kind of person?

3. I'm considering side rails, because they are so handy for
tying things off, but does anyone find the side rail interfere
sometimes? Sometimes in gusts, or when paddling, or just for
a change, I like to sit up on the edge of the cockpit.

With every advantage to "upgrades", I can see a disadvantage,
so maybe my bare bones boat is perfect as is???

Mike

P.S. Whoever told me about PAM for my mast slot, it works
great, thanks!
