Two unrelated questions:

1) Living in South Carolina, I will have the odd opportunity to get out
and sail when a warm spell hits this winter. As such, I will keep it in
the water at the lake throughout the winter. However, I was wondering
what winterizing steps and precautions I should take--it still gets well
below freezing at night sometimes.

2) Also, I am looking at buying a GPS. What do y'all recommend? I am
leaning towards the Garmin III Plus (?) and the Magellan 410. I am
interested in getting something I can load C-maps into. Is this worth
the cost?

I thank you in advance for your insights.
