I do that in the winter (where it rains like every day here), but when the
boat was on the water this summer it kept pretty dry without that.

As a credit to the hull seal, I get no water inside until it rains. With the
tarp I may get only about a cupful if it rains hard. Without it, it seems
like the whole floor gets covered. It rains pretty hard here from June thru
November. Sometimes, for weeks.
It gets so I don't sail at all in summer. The lightning fireworks is awesome
and scary. Best time of year for sailing seems to be January to end of May.

Thanks for the help. I really do appreciate that list and your comments.

I am now trying to find a squeak and groan when a strong gust hits. I believe
it may be the hull to deck joint.
