I measured my oars and they are 7'6". They easily fit
into the cabin by first poking them into the forepeak. A
full 8 feet would probably also fit, but it would be close.
The oars are stored along the sides under the cockpit.
A couple of feet protrude onto the cabin floor.

Before I start drilling holes for oarlocks, I'd like to
make doubly sure of everything. My plan is to put the
oarlocks the same distance back that IM does, on the
assumption that they know what they are doing, even though
it seems too close to the cabin. Also, I do not want to
preclude the possibility of later installing side rails,
as unlikely as that may be. But I would much rather have
good rowing ergonomics than side rails, since I row for fun,
and would love to toss my motor overboard.

Thanks,
Mike
