     Gretchen:

Haven't built one myself (yet!), but have done some shopping for kits.
Check out Shell Boats in Vermont:
     http://www.by-the-sea.com/shellboats/

He provides pre-cut plywood kits that just need to be glued (with
expoxy) and finished. The Leif 8 is an 8' sailing dingy; the kit
sells for $575. Lots of other models too. I have seen his "how-to"
video and if you can operate a power screwdriver and paint brush, you
     can build a boat.

     Good luck....

Hi All:
First Mate Erin and I are thinking about building a sailing dingy together.
Has anyone ever done this (I know, dumb question). I have been looking at
plans and kits and so forth. We want something about 7' long so it will fit
in the back of the truck to take along when we take out our P19. Any
pointers, for inexperienced boat builders with lots of enthusiasm and new
power tools, would be appreciated.
