Good question, Eric, That is also one project on my winter list. I've been
thinking of putting a tether anchor or padeye just below the companion way.
That way if there are a couple of you in the cocpit with tethers on you might
still be able to move back and forth to the windward side of the cocpit on
subsequent tacks and go forward far enough to mess with the mast if
necessicary with out getting too tangled up. As for climbing back into the
boat with a six foot tether, I'm still dubious though.
