I made a filler board for my HMS 18 Sunshine a couple years ago. First I
removed the V berth cushions, then I made a cardboard template that fit the V
leaving 4 inches all around. Than I cut a 3/8 inch piece of plywood to match
the cardboard. The plywood piece fits under the cushions and can slide
foreword when not in use. Then I made another template that fits where the
filler will go. I took this to an auto upholstery shop and they made the
filler to match the vinyl bunks. This filler will make a huge difference in
your sleeping comfort. It might even work for Lars.
