Ken,

1) she has every right to tell you to go to hell if she feels like it.
2) it is rude in the extreme to put list members in the position of having to
make a judgement about this. I don't know either of you, and I don't
want to be put in the position of having to decide which of you is a
jerk, if indeed either of you is a jerk
3) how do you know who the message actually came from?
4) how do we even know you are Ken, and not a dog -- this is email; this
is the internet -- as some of you know, I am actually Bill Clinton (*)
5) one of the most sacred rules of netiquette is to respect private
email. please don't ever forward private email.
6) frankly, I think her message (if indeed it was from her) was
admirable in its direct succinctness. Some of the messages on this
list are rather fluffy.

(*) whitehouse.gov is the domain name of the office of the president of
the US; whitehouse.com is a purveyor of porn. Vint Cerf, one of the
true "father's of the internet" was commenting today on this famous
pair of domains, and then quipped, "Of course, some people think that
whitehouse.gov is a purveyor of porn, as well, but I don't want to
discuss that".
