It seems to be a listserve tradition to announce a boat acquisition and then
ask more than a few questions. I will try to be brief.

First, Thanks Lars for the tutoring, for continuing efforts to locate boats
for me and for letting me know of this one. Thanks to the many on the
listserve who directly or indirectly provided the information I needed to
make my decision. Thanks to those I met at the one Potter gathering I was
able to attend. And a special thanks to Laura and Gail for turning over to me
their P15, Scout, so well maintained that as picky as I am, I feel it is
ready to launch with no further work, and for their tutorial and
introduction.

Next, the questions,

I can handle setting up for rowing and sculling but can someone who has done
this let me know the oar length you have found best both for rowing and
sculling? Any specific, preferably collapsing, oar brands and sources would
also be appreciated.

I will check Defender on the LED anchor light but if any other LED sources
are out there, please let me know.

Looking forward to meeting some of you on the water locally, along the coast
heading south, and in Florida or Michigan where I will be off and on during
the summer.
