The 'new owner' has a P15, your comments seems to concern the P19. Issue: Does the P15 need a backstay? Of just carefully tuning of the shroud/forestay tension. As another new Potter owner I had assumed I would not need to add a backstay. And would rather not have the inconvenience!

While taking this space on the list, could I repeat an earlier question. What length oars have been found best on the P15? I can find long cheap oars and very heavy duty rafting jointed oars, but not cheap jointed? I can't see a need for the strength and weight of a river rafting oar for Potter use.

Thanks, Cliff in PA , unamed P15
