I said downhall in my last note It was my boom vang eye strip any way it took
about 15min to remove the mastbace install bolts on the eye and reinstall the
base. My mast has been raised and lowered about 100 times in the 2years I
have had it, no trouble with the aluminim yet. Weather you use alum or
stainless I coat mine with dox lots of other names for it. It's used on
alumimium wire to prevent corosion. I'm sure there are other things that can
be used.
