Hi Brad: A question about the keel. In your message about carpeting you
mention the four latches that hold the keel down. Is there a danger in not
latching down the keel other than in high wind/large wave conditions when
there is a chance of turtling? I am thinking of times when you are sailing
close to shorelines or in bays in a medium to light breeze. Wouldn't it be
prudent to unlatch the keel and just let it ride up if it does bottom out?
Thanks for your help.
