   Gwen is right, The last Potters built by Herb Stewart had a separate keel
trunk that was made away from the hull. When he designed the mark 2 Potter
Herb moved the trunk foreword to make the cockpit roomier. But this threw the
balance off. Then he made a keel trunk that wouldn't let the keel drop
straight down, it was raked back at about a 15 degree angle. This feature is
on Potters in the 1976 to 1978 vintage. Joe Edwards bought the company in
1978 and to save building costs changed the way the trunks were being built.
His keels were straight up and down.
    Mark 2 Potters sail better with the keel raked back about 15 degrees!!!!
