Nice to hear from a potterer from "Down Under". In WWll, my unit of the US
Army Amphibian Engineers was attached to the 9th Austrailian Division for the
assault landing at Balikpapan, Borneo. My interest in sailing was born there
watching the Austrailians gracefully sailing native canoes with attached lee
boards and bed sheet sails.
