Alan,

It's normal for some P19's from the mid 1980's. In that case it's not a
"crack". Some P19's don't have a sole to the cabin liner. The liner's
vertical wall meets the hull of the boat and is tabbed in with rough
fiberglass from the inside of the stowage compartment. Outside, that looks
like a "crack" running along the joint where the liner meets the hull.

My boat' was made like that, and it's no cause for concern structurally.
But when I refinished the cabin, I glassed the seam on the outside so it
would look better and wouldn't be a place to grow mold)

What year is your P19 again? (BTW, you should sign your posts with your
hull # and model year, because Potters differ according to model year.)

Hi,
I am not sure if this is a crisis or not. Yesterday while trying to
figure out where the mildew smell is coming from, I opened the cover located
on the front port side bunk. Inside there was maybe a quart of water along
with a spare anchor. While cleaning it out and wondering how water got into
this area, I noticed the vertical wall and the floor do not seem to be
connected. There is a large jagged crack that runs along what would be the
entire seam. Is this normal?
