The same applies when installing a loose-footed Mk II sail on a P14 gunter
rig. I used the same method as Dik - a sail slug at the clew, riding in the
boom slot. That keeps the clew close to the boom, holds the boom higher,
reduces the load on the outhaul, and improves the outhaul lead.
