I enjoyed a 15' whaler for ten years as tender to my Col 22. When large waves
flooded it, it would drain out even with motor and passengers aboard. Always
kept powerhead outa water...

It's really an outer and inner hull filled in with foam. That saves on
stringers and makes it tougher than all others. They used to have an add
where they drove a large Caterpillar bulldozer over hull to show how strong
it was. For normal use they are tough, overbuilt and super expensive... Not
worth it unless you are young, reckless and like to go out in 6+ seas.
