<< Been there, done that, except with an '88 Yamaha. It is an excellent
engine
- when it runs. The mechanic who tuned it for me had a lot of praise for
it, but said it was known to be sensitive to settings and fuel mix, etc.
When it was running, it had a lot of power - much more than the potter
needed. So now I have a Nissan, and life is simpler, and more reliable.

Funny thing... I noticed that about Yamaha's a while back. I towed a lot of
them back to port... Dealer kept trying to sell me one but I got a Nissan
and like it. Starts first pull and runs great. My neighbor had larger
Yammies. Twin 150's and he was always futzing with them and the mechanics.
I'll stick to OMC or Nissan for now...
