I just received my Nicro day/night 2000 and deck pipe last Friday. The only
problem I could see with the arrangement was the anchor rode when cleated
will run up over the vent.

I was surprised to find the battery in my vent was dead after only 4 days!
My boat isn't in a spot I would call shaded. I tested the vent by holding
it up to a light and it runs fine without the battery.
