Yo Potter people:

I have been re-outfitting Sukoshi (1980 P-15 #1044) and have a question
regarding the gooseneck. Is the gooseneck supposed to fit into <and out of!>
the sail feed slot in the mast? Mine doesn't. The sail feed slot appears as
if it were chewed out buy a crazed squirrel and is not large enough to
accommodate the gooseneck fitting. The gooseneck has been taken apart every
time the boat has been used with a little 'safety pin' like device in the
clevis pin that holds the gooseneck together. Are other P-15's of this
vintage done the same way? Our P-19 <1994 #779> allows the gooseneck to
remain attached to the boom. I'd like to modify the P-15 mast so the
gooseneck can remain on the boom as well but I'm concerned that the sail feed
slot may be too close to where the boom needs to be when sailing. Any input?
