far as I could, cleaned it out with a coping saw, inserted
glue and clamped. I then drilled vertically and installed a
stainless bolt with washers and nuts. Similar to Tom's
arrangement. I refinished the teak while I had it in the
shop. Has worked well for two years. Much more reassuring
on a REALLY gusty day.
