Ted, because of cross-posting plus the personal, I got this

to your few lines. I'm sure you're a great guy and simply
don't realize that the Potter lists are interconnected. You
don't have to post to more than one of them, and anyone on
them has read the previous posts already - and will get
what you post automatically without any need for a
separate, personal reply.
I feel I have an obligation to help new Internet users -
and yes, you are almost certainly "new" by my standards,
since I have been online off and on since 1972 and I now
make my living editing a group of Web sites that
collectively have 2.4 million regular readers.
