I've never tried it. I can see it working quite well during launch, but
I have trouble visualizing the recovery. I suspect if I had a 200 HP
engine on the transom I could do the "wheely" (motorcycle term referring
to lifting the front end way off the ground) required to get the boat up
on the tilted trailer. I can't imaging pulling the boat up the steeply
angled bunks without eventually straining the winch, winch post, or the
bow eye-bolt.

BTW, I was peering at the trailer last summer, and it seemed to me that
the pivot bolt for the tilting function was an integral part to
fastening the main body of the trailer to the trailer tongue; and
consequently, to the towing vehicle. I examined this and found it to be
quite worn (lost about 20-25% of its cross-sectional area).
