I experienced this same prob with my ole 3.5. I determined that it shook so
much at idle from being a single cylinder that no amount of tension could
stop it. The only solution was to run faster than idle.
In any case you should not idle a 2 cycle engine too much or you will foul
the plugs and stall it.
