My nissan 5hp does the same thing. It allways rotates the same drection so a
short line looped around the handel works fine for a short time. I normly run
it about 1/2 throtle. In the 2years I have had the boat I have only used
about 3 gal. of fuel so as you can see I dont like to use the moter any more
than I have to.
