I have a 7' high garage door opening. What I have to do to get the mast in
position for garaging is:

1. Un-pin base of mast from the bow pulpit trailering position.

2. Pull mast forward through the pulpit rail until the base is about even
with the trailer coupler.

3. Using a short rope, tie the mast to the pulpit rail right at the
trailering pinholes. Make sure the mast is snug up against the bottom of
the pulpit rail.

4. At the stern, lift the mast carrier pole out of the gudgeons, with the
mast still in the crutch.

5. Swing the mast to port and lay it down on the cabin top against the
grab rail.

This lowers the profile of the boat to almost cabin-top height. The top of
the mast angles up slightly. I also have to crank the trailer tongue wheel
to its lowest position so the pulpit rail will clear the garage opening.
